I am a Lecturer in Politics at the Department of Political Economy at King's College London where I lead the Global South Research Group.
I am also a research associate at the African Studies Centre, Oxford and the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Oxford where I am co-investigator on the JFF-funded project "Management Consultants and New Frontiers of Governance in Nigeria". I am co-convenor of the Global Development Special Group at the Political Studies Association since 2020 and part of the editorial board for the African Arguments book series. Previously I was the Clayman-Fulford Junior Research Fellow in Politics and Political Theory at St Anne's College Oxford. I did my PhD at the Department of International Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). I have a bachelors degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from The Queen's College Oxford and a masters in African Politics from SOAS, University of London. I've spent time as an academic visitor at the University of Maiduguri, the Department of Political Science, University of Ibadan and IFRA-Ibadan.
